I left school with a few GCE "O" Levels in the 1970's and joined the cost accounting section of a manufacturing firm.

I started along an eight year journey through all levels of Accountancy to Board Director of Finance for a 200 people strong Cable manufaturer in South London.

I gained Fellowship level membership of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in 1991 just as the company was bought by the biggest Cable Manufacturer in the World (Alcatel Cable).

I was appointed General Manager of that Plant soon after and became involved in bringing together similar units elsewhere in the European group.
